Acai berry is an inch long black-purple fruit that looks similar to a grape, but is a relative of the blueberry and cranberry. Using modern procedures of a standardized freeze dried acai fruit pulp found that 100 g of powder was equal to 533.9 calories, 52.2 g carbohydrates, 8.1 g protein, and 32.5 g of fat.   The Carbohydrates portion includes 44.2 g of fiber, which is nearly 1/3 of its mass as dietary fiber! Acai is very rich in fatty acids. Of the 32.5 g of fat, 56% of its fat is Monounsaturated fatty acid oleic acid, 24% saturated fat palmitic acid and 13% polyunsaturated omega-6 fatty acid linoleic.

Need Help Identifying a Palm Tree?

My husband and I bought a small palm tree from Home Depot a couple of months ago and we have no idea what kind it is. Maybe someone can help.
It is very small (looks like something you would plant in your walk way or something).
It has leaves that look just like a Pigmy Date Palm (as a matter of fact my mother-in-law thought is was a bunch of tiny Pigmy Date Palms all in one pot)
I remember looking at the tag when we bought it and I think it started with a “P”
It cost us only about $10 to purchase.

If you can help identify this thing I would be so happy. Please know I have learned my lesson about buying things I haven’t ever heard of. Ha!
I know for a fact it isn’t a Sago. We have one of those too and this dosen’t look like it in the slightest.

Maybe it is a date palm…
