surprise birthday party inside ideas?

I a birthday surprise for my brother (30) and daughter (9). We were going to have a party outdoors with a house of bounce, but it's going to rain: (We want to clear our garage to make more room since our house is really small. I was going to hang curtains or a mural of a kind of hide shelves. Any ideas on how to proceed? This is our main goal with keeping the children entertained. Should I buy a dinette set at JCPenney?

I'm considering buying a table and chairs JCPenney, but the decription on most of them say the Assembly is required. I'm afraid I'll damage something if I try to put together myself. The description refers only to delivery options if it appears that nobody will up for me. Have you bought a dinette set from JC Penney before? Was the ease of assembly?
