Do you have a good recipe for veggie burgers? Any ideas for vegetarian dishes for a BBQ?
I’m having a BBQ for my birthday. There will be meat on the smoker grill for those who eat it, but about half of the guests are strictly vegetarian. I would LOVE to make homemade veggie burgers instead of buying the pre-made ones.
I’d love to see everyone’s recipes for veggie burgers and I’d also love any suggestions for other side dishes/munchies. I’m doing a mozzarella/tomato/cucumber salad and a corn/frito casserole thing (cold dish that I know most of my guests already love), but I want more options besides just chips and salsa.

grilled pizza is fabulous! Grilling the dough gives it so much more flavor than traditional baking that you don’t even need cheese.
You could do mini pizzas as a side–beware, the non-vegetarians may gobble them up too!
here are a few tricks:
roll your dough into smaller, very flat rounds and poke holes in them with a fork
grill one side, and then turn it over, dress it with toppings with the grilled side up, put back on the grill to cook the other side and warm the toppings
go very light on the toppings and leave a nice edge (use a brush for the tomato sauce)
