		<description>Well first decide do you have a palm or banana? If you have a banana, they generally are a bulbous plant meaning they grow from a bulb. And they are not trees they are plants. 

If it is a palm tree, at certain times of years there will be a sprout with tassles. I have mine inside in a nice warm area and it gets a lot of sun. I&#039;ve seen little black seed looking things around the tree. So I am assuming they drop their own seeds.</description>
