Gardens – Patios – Drainage
In 2004, I underwent major surgery. I remember when I arrived at one of don'ts on the list from my doctor is gardening. So, I immediately became interested in gardening. What was it that they do not want to do? My untutored mind tells me it is probably the best thing for you .. Well, I was partly wrong. Yes I confess. After intervention I had major surgery there is no need to do all the bending and stooping that gardening requires. However, I did not much planning for my flowerbeds. The planning is half the work. Then, as I had strength and could gradually work him, I found a new love.
Did you know that the flower is an accent. It is an adjective that strengthens a young daughter to her first dance school, or a woman on a blind date, or a house when you need to spruce for an event or to put on the market for sale. The flowers do wonders. The color and beauty that is added a memorable event or show the many things that God has given us to enjoy.
We can use elements relatively inexpensive such as bird baths, bird feeders, fountains, garden statues and garden decor, etc. … Of course you could go but above board, you should not do. My biggest problem is knowing when to plant what I then color all year. This is particularly difficulty in planning for the winter season. I make sure to have lots of evergreens and at the very least, things do not look dead. Droopy and Brown is not my idea of pretty.
Remember what I said to show the many things that God gave us to enjoy? Well, start counting the birds and creatures that your garden or flower bed to attract him. Set our bird feeders rare and perhaps a bird bath or two. I put 3 small horse feed on one end of my porch. I also have a swing on my porch, with a cup of coffee provides a place of confinement when the need or place for an intimate conversation with my spouse, or a place to gather and visit and remember the good old days. It's called nostalgia I think. Now I'm getting off track. From this swing I can see the practical work of God. I give him full credit for this is produced.
I took my camera the other day and took some pictures. My climbing roses are in bloom and reach the roof of the house. I have 3 colors of primroses in a bed of flowers on one side of my porch with a 'Texas Purple Sage "and a mom, and some multi-colored gladioli. On the other hand I have ferns and 2 colors of petunias with some holly bushes. I have a bird bath, like one of those on HeavenlyTidbits.com separating petunias and holly bushes two hydrangea bushes and plant elephant's ear. They get the morning sun. I also have two hanging strawberry plants and hanging ivy plant. I'm visited daily by hummingbirds (they like flowers) and various other birds, as I have two major departures from the opposite end of the feeding of horses. (Red Bird (Cardinals), blackbirds, bluebirds, finches, wrens, sparrows, blue jays, birds red wing black, etc. … … … … And at certain times of Robins sees a year. We even have a resident pair of doves.) Squirrels and rabbits sit in the veranda. Squirrels can be creatures unpleasant. Sometimes you can see an armadillo. You know they are there because of they create ruts in the yard. And during certain periods year, you can see deer roaming from grove to grove. And I can not ignore the butterflies. What color WOW! But the most surprising thing it is God's creation. Whether you go through your day, take time to enjoy the wonderful gifts of nature.
Help decoration (Windows)?
I decorate my house for the 1st time. I'll look for a Japanese / minimalist home. can someone give me some ideas of what I should put on my windows? This far I have in my living room: sofa, black leather chairs and lamps with black shades of cream all dark wood furniture / tables (as global markets) lucky bamboo in a large glass (vase filled with black pebbles now the windows have blinds white wood on them. I can not decide what color / style, but I like brown / blue as I have my room decorated in white and brown with accents blue. there is also a patio window that needs to be covered.
I would go with either bamboo shades or brown / blue "rice paper" shades.
