How can I stain bamboo outdoor wicker / and make it weatherproof?
I have a wicker / bamboo table and chairs balcony. It is in poor condition. I want to sand the varnish is currently the subject. I would like to stain it and put on an outside varnish to protect from sun and rain. I do not know what is the process for doing so, or even if it's possible? In addition, one table legs is completely cracked on the length of the game. It is obviously impossible to nail together, nobody knows another way to fix it?
Wicker and bamboo take very well to Tung oil. Make sure the tung oil you buy does not contain linseed oil because it will take weeks to resolve, and it is more difficult to seal. Minwax makes a great set of light to dark (depending on the amount applied) patches for the same type of the project. DO NOT use varnish. Save time and money you can buy yourself the purchase of spray on silicon. It provides protection against the weather spills and stains. He is quick to make, inexpensive and simple to use. As for the issue of the legs. There are many patches available. A U-bolt, or clamp, may be permanently affixed. You can imprison a new segment. You can epoxy the split (recommended) or you can screw and hide with caps. I can give you better advice on this if you want to send me a photo.
